Commonly Asked Questions:
Why is HydraFacial™ good for my skin?
Hydration is the foundation of healthy radiant skin. Irritation of the skin has been proven to increase the signs of aging. The HydraFacial™ is a hydrating and non-irritating treatment.
Am I a candidate for the HydraFacial™ treatment?
The HydraFacial™ treatment is designed for all skin types. Even the most sensitive skin easily tolerates the HydraFacial™ treatment. Our skin care professionals may custom-blend the treatment serums for your unique skin condition.
How long does the treatment take?
The HydraFacial takes approximately 45 minutes.
Is there any downtime or pain?
There is no discomfort during the procedure. It is often described as feeling like a "cool paintbrush moving slowly over your face." You may put on make-up and return to normal activities right after the treatment as there is no downtime.
What results may be expected? How many treatments are needed to see results? How long do results last?
Many people report seeing visible skin refinement and an even, radiant skin tone after just one treatment. Depending on your skin type frequency will vary, but it is suggested no more than twice a month is necessary.
A single treatment is perfect for those who need a fresh and glowing appearance for a special event or occasion. For those wanting to maintain healthy skin and a vibrant look then monthly treatments would be recommended.
Lunch-Time Medical Microderm Peel/Facial
Our Microderm Glycolic/Jessner's peel is a lunch time peel that can be done in less than thirty minutes but, in our opinion, still gives a noticeable outcome. It is similar to a Glycolic acid peel but weaker. We use the Vitality Peel or Vi Peel. It contains a combination of TCA, Phenol, Salicylic and Retinoic acids. It causes redness when applied that dissipates within a few minutes to at most an hour. Application takes just a few minutes so you literally can have it done on a half hour lunch break.
We Microderm the skin, then aerate using a microneedle, apply the peel, then apply microderm paste and re-microderm skin, apply a collagen mask and finally sunscreen. You will detect a noticeable difference in skin texture, color and lightness. This peel can be done monthly to achieve and maintain great skin.
Venus Viva™ Skin Resurfacing
Venus Viva™ is an advanced, non-surgical solution for skin resurfacing. It combines NanoFractional Radio Frequency and SmartScan™ technology to reduce the appearance of acne scars and other scars, stretch marks, rosacea, enlarged pores, deep wrinkles, and uneven skin texture and pigmentation. Safe for all skin tones.
how it works
Venus Viva™ skin resurfacing treatments work with tiny pins that safely deliver heat (via NonoFractional Radio Frequency) through the skin's surface. This creates tiny micro-dermal wounds, which the body then works to heal naturally. This process repairs signs of skin damage seen on the surface of the skin. Since the wounds are so small, the treatment is much more comfortable than tradition CO2 lasers, and produces satisfying results.
Treatments typically vary between 3-4 sessions, every 4-6 weeks. The exact number of sessions depends on the individual. You will experience mild redness post-treatment, and you can resume your regular skin care and makeup routine 24 hours after treatment. Treatments us radio frequency technology, which is proven to be safe and effective for all skin tones.

A chemical peel is a technique used to improve the appearance of the skin on the face, neck or hands. A chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. The new, regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. The new skin is also temporarily more sensitive to the sun.
PRP is taken from your blood and applied to (PRP Vacial) or injected into (PRP facelift) your skin. The PRP facial utilizes the nutrients and growth factors from a sample of the patient’s own blood and combines them with the benefits of microneedling or, in the case of the PRP face lift injected directly into the skin.
It can help rejuvenate facial and neck skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and certain types of scars. With a series of treatments, collagen production is stimulated, leading to smoother, softer skin. Facial rejuvenation can also come in the form of a more “awake” appearance. If you decide to supplement PRP treatments with fillers, under eye bags and sagging skin can also be addressed, as these can provide more volume in areas of the face that thin our or appear more hollow over time.
If you are looking for different and natural way to treat fine wrinkles around the eyes, loose and saggy skin on your face/neck or forehead wrinkles then PRP injections may be the solution for you. PRP is used to speed healing and improve skin texture, fine lines and wrinkles. This treatment can improve the appearance of facial skin, including targeting and improving the following:
Fine lines around the eyes, including crow's feet
Wrinkles on and around the lips
Wrinkles and lines on the neck
Circles and bags under the eyes
Loose or sagging skin
PRP is part of your own blood that is drawn and spun to isolate the platelets, at which point they can be re-injected into areas of your face that need rejuvenation. As they come together the platelets release enzymes that promote healing and tissue repair while attaching stem cells to repair damage. PRP can be injected into wrinkled or sun-damaged skin to focus your body's natural healing. Research has determined that vitamin C is an anti-oxidant for rejuvenating cells. We add injectible Vitamin C to our Vampire Facials to promote the improvement of wrinkles, sun damaged skin and skin rejuvenation.
While PRP therapy is not a replacements for surgery for loose skin and deep wrinkles, it can produce very dramatic results to improve skin issues and wrinkles around the eyes, neck and elsewhere on the face. You can expect to need between one and three treatments spaced about a month apart to see the best results. You may see results as soon as one to two week after injections, but you will see the final results after three months as the skin slowly repairs itself. Effects last about two years.
You may experience some minor side effects, including redness of the skin at the injection site and possible minor bruising which usually resolves within a week. By using your own blood, there is no risk of allergic reaction and the side effects are minor.
Paige has been a long time Makeup and tattoo connoisseur most her life. Just last year she received her license in tattooing, cosmetic tattooing to be exact. She completed her courses for Microblading in Orlando and continued her education through out the year in powder brows, machine work, lip blush, and tattoo lightening/removal. With a passion for skin care and past schooling at UCF for health science, she is currently obtaining her esthetics license too.
What is permanent makeup? Microblading is the design of hair strokes implemented into the skin with pigment and 18 nano needles on a hand held tool creating a natural shape tailored to your face. Clients that aren't suitable for Microblading have one or more of the following:
sun damaged, oily, combination, or 60+ skin. Eventually clients with Microbladed hair strokes will have to transform to powder brows due to hair strokes blending together or get removal to start over.Powder brows, her favorite, turn out to be a powder make up look. Pigment (not regular tattoo ink) is implemented into the skin using a electronic tattoo pen. This method is less traumatic to the skin, there for the longevity is much higher. Lip tint is also implemented into the skin of the lips using a tattoo pen and lip colored pigments. All permanent cosmetics consists of two steps 6-8 weeks apart: initial and touch up/perfecting apt. 18 month touch up sessions are recommended to maintain color and results.
Not happy with your old tattoo? She also does tattoo lightening/removal which consists of a tattoo pen, saline solution, LiFTing solution, and time. Ink and pigment is drawn out of the skin with the solutions, bleeding and scabbing. This usually takes multiple sessions 6-8 weeks apart to get desired results. Hyperpigmentation is more likely on darker skin complexions. More questions? Consultation? Visit shapeupcosmetics.com.
